Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how YOLO YOLO LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Hong Kong, handles information in connection with the YOLO TALK mobile application and the website at yoloyolo.app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1.Our core privacy promise

YOLO TALK is a game you play out loud, together, around a table. The things you say to each other are yours. Therefore, by design:

• We never record audio. The app does not use your microphone to capture conversations.
• We never store the content of your conversations or anyone's answers. What is said while playing stays between the people at the table — we do not receive it, and we cannot read it.

2.Information we collect

We collect as little as possible. Specifically:

• When you play without an account (including the free and web versions): we do not require any personal information. Your progress and the record of which cards your group has seen are kept locally on your device.
• If you create an optional account (in the full version): a display name or nickname you choose (required); a profile picture (optional — a cartoon avatar is used by default); and a date of birth (optional, used only to suggest occasion-based content such as a birthday mode).
• "Room" records: if you save a room, we store a room name you choose, the date, and the identifiers of the questions your group has already played (so the app can offer you new questions next time). We store which questions appeared, never how anyone answered them.
• Anonymous, card-level statistics: to improve the question bank, we may collect aggregated, non-identifying signals such as how long a card was on screen and whether players tapped a reaction on a card. These are tied to a card, not to a person.
• Purchases: if you buy a content pack or a membership, the payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made; we do not receive or store your card number or payment details.
• Basic technical and support data: if you contact us, we keep the email address and message you send so we can reply. The app platform may provide us with anonymous crash and performance data to help us fix bugs.

3.What we do NOT collect

• Audio recordings or the content of your conversations or answers.
• Your gender (we never ask for it).
• Your contacts, photos library, or precise location.
• Advertising identifiers — the app contains no ads and no third-party ad trackers.

4.How we use information

We use the limited information above only to: operate and provide the Service; remember your saved rooms and purchases; improve our content and fix problems; and respond to your questions. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

5.Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy and security terms:

• Apple — App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
• Supabase — secure cloud storage for optional accounts and room records (as described in Section 2). See supabase.com/privacy.
• Vercel — hosting for the web version of the Service. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Cloudflare — domain, website hosting, and email routing for yoloyolo.app. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

6.Children's privacy

YOLO TALK is designed for gatherings across generations, and some content is suitable for families. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Account features are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. We encourage parents and guardians to play alongside younger children.

7.Data retention

We keep account and room records for as long as your account exists. Data kept only on your device remains until you delete the app or clear its data. You can ask us to delete your account and associated records at any time (see Section 8). Aggregated, anonymous statistics that cannot identify you may be retained to improve the Service.

8.Your rights and choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information associated with your account. To make a request, email meiko@yoloyolo.app and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also play the Service without an account, and you can clear locally stored data by deleting the app.

9.Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including relying on established providers that encrypt data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10.International data transfer

We are based in Hong Kong. The service providers listed in Section 5 may store and process information on servers located outside Hong Kong, including in other jurisdictions. Where this happens, we take steps intended to ensure your information continues to be protected.

11.Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service develops. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
